COA: This work comes with a certificate of Authenticity from West Chelsea Contemporary Collaboration between Risk and Travis Barker
Additional Info: Recently, when Travis launched a new line of clothing featuring punk and graffiti images, he asked Risk to create a series of original paintings using the images Travis and his partner Jeff Skene created for the clothing line. The result was a series of 33-original paintings featuring the Barker/Skene created images and Risk’s signature color field and Butterflies. The body of work titled “Anarch to Monarch” was exhibited at Maxfield’s in Malibu California for a four-week private exhibition. Both artists wanted the paintings to replicate the look of iconic punk clubs like “CBGB’s” in New York. The resulting original works on wood panels are colorful, detailed and feature Risk’s classic Surfboard Resin finish with crushed abalone. The crushed abalone creates a glitter on the surface of the paintings.
